Problem
of Air Compressor Condition 1:
Compressor starts running but does not load after
delay time.
Fault:
1. Solenoid
valve out of order
2. Inlet
valve stuck in closed position
3. Leak
in control air flexible
4. Minimum
pressure valve leaking when net is depressurized
Remedy

1. Solenoid
valve out of order
2. Inlet
valve does not close
Remedy
1. Replace
solenoid valve
2. Check
the valve
Problem
of Air Compressor Condition 3:
Compressor air output or pressure below normal
Fault:
1. Air
consumption exceeds air delivery of compressor
2. Choked
air filter element
3. Solenoid
valve malfunctioning
4. Leak
in control air flexible
5. Inlet
valve does not fully open
6. Oil
separator clogged

valve
4. Replace
leaking flexible
5. Have
valve checked
6. Have
element replaced
7. Have
leaks repaired
8. Have
valve replaced
9. Contact
with manufacturer of your air compressor
Problem
of Air Compressor Condition 4:
Excessive oil consumption; oil carry over through
the discharge line
Fault:
1. Oil
level too high
2. Incorrect
oil causing foam
3. Oil
separator defective
4. Scavenge
line clogged
Remedy:
1. Check
for overfilling. Must release pressure and drain oil to correct level
2. Change
to correct oil
3. Check
all elements. If found any fault replace the element.
4. Scavenge
line check and solve the problem
Problem
of Air Compressor Condition 5:
Safety valve blows after loading
Fault
1. Inlet
valve malfunctioning
2. Minimum
pressure valve malfunctioning
3. Safet7
valve out of order
4. Compressor
element out of order
5. Oil
separator element clogged
Remedy:
1. Check
the inlet valve
2. Check
the minimum pressure valve
3. Replace
the safety valve
4. Contact
with manufacturer
5. Replace
the oil separator element
Problem
of Air Compressor Condition 6:
Compressor element outlet temperature or delivery
air temperature above normal
Fault:
1. Oil
level too low
2. Insufficient
cooling air or cooling air temperature too high
3. Oil
cooler clogged
4. Thermostatic
bypass valve malfunctioning
5. Air
cooler clogged
6. Compressor
element out of order.
7. Oil
filter clogged
Remedy:
1. Give
the oil and always maintain oil level
2. Check
for cooling air restriction or improve ventilation of the compressor room.
Avoid recirculation of cooling air. If one installed exhaust fan check the
capacity of compressor room fan.
3. Test
the thermostat bypass valve
4. Clean
the air cooler
5. Contact
with manufacturer
