What is Simulation System?

Now a days a combination of different type of simulation tools has been used. For operational aspects, a combination of physical models, including energy and mass balances, and statistical models, like partial least square (PLS) models, provided with the gas composition under different operating conditions. Real process aspects like kinetics and the difference in product gas quality as a function of temperature, load and relative oxidation during the gasification was included. Direct system design was addressed using equilibrium calculations with programs like ASPEN plus. In principle, different conditions can be calculated by changing different variables, although no information of the direct absolute gas composition can be obtained. Experimental data from operation of pilot plants and real processes using different fuels and operation conditions.
