There are four types of Environmental Compliance Plan of a Power Plant and they are given bellow
(i) Pollutant
Air Emission: We have installed reciprocating type diesel engine based
power plant. Every Generator has silencer system exhaust pipe in upward
direction. The pipe is about 40 feet high from the ground level and the engine
exhaust escapes into air through the exhaust pipe. We will also monitor and
control the oxygen level as per international standards. Therefore, the
emissions could be deemed to be environmentally insignificant.
(ii) Water
Requirements: We made a close circuit cooling tower based plant cooling
system. About 350 m³/hour water is required for the
recycling cooling system. It is drawn from an onsite submersible deep tube
well. The cooling water is recycled after cooling. Therefore a small amount of
makeup water is required regularly as some water may be lost through
evaporation. We also supply portable water for consumption by the plant
officials, staff and workers and incorporate into the design systems for proper
treatment and disposal of sanitary sewage.
(iii) Waste Storage and disposal: We
made a wastage store of size 15’ x 10’. Wastage due to use of diesel, lube oil,
air filter resorted etc is very small amounts for our power plant. This type of
wastage is stored in the store which is making well ventilated. Then the
wastage is sold in the local secondary market. None of the waste is discharged
into the environment.
(iv) Flood, cyclone & Earthquake:
The power plant building is designed and constructed by well known registered
Engineer & Architect and completely made by R.C.C. and brick wall. All the
structures including Engine foundation are made strong to resist any type of
damage due to cyclone and earth quake. The plinth level of the power house
building is higher than the higher flood level of the country as per Bangladesh
Standards. Therefore, the power plant house can be deemed in safe enough for
any impact of floods, cyclones and
earthquakes.
