Car Engine Liquid Cooling System/ Water Cooling System Types

Automotive or Car Engine Liquid Cooling System/ Water Cooling System Types:

There are three types of liquid/water cooling system in a car or an engine and they are given below:

1.      Water Jackets cooling system.

2.      Water Pump cooling system

3.      Thermostat Valve cooling system

1.      Water Jackets cooling system:

Water Jackets are designed to keep the cylinders cool. The water jackets are cast into the cylinder blocks and heads.  

2.      Water pumps cooling system:

The water pump is a impeller type and are mounted at the front end of the cylinder block between the block and the radiator. The pump consist of a housing, with a water inlet and outlet and an impeller. The impeller is a flat plate mounted on the pump shaft with a series of flat or curved blades or vanes. 

3.      Thermostat Valve Cooling System:

Thermostat valve warm up engine quickly. It engine cool engine.
