What is the snap method of timing? What are it’s advantage and disadvantage?
Snap
method of timing:
Snap method of timing is one the stop watch timing element at which no
time is lost,more accurate time is obtained.
Advantage:
1. No
time loss.
2. More
accurate elemental time is obtained.
3. Help the analyzer.
Disadvantages:
1. A
series of subcontraction is essentially needed.
2. Critical
cost is high.

Solution:
1. Normal
Time = (0.12+0.08+0.53+0.73)1.20/4
+ (0.20+0.40+0.61+0.80)0.95/ 4
= 0.657 + 0.4473
= 1.134
= (1.13 â‚“
12 )/ 60
= 0.2268 minute
2.
Standard
time= Normal time â‚“ allowance
factor
= 0.2268 â‚“ 1.2
=
0.2721 minute
