What is the purpose of spark advance mechanism?

Purpose of Spark Advance Mechanism:  The purpose of Spark Advance mechanism is to assure that under every condition of engine operation ignition takes place at the most favorable instant in time that is most favorable from the stand point of engine power, fuel economy, exhaust dilution.  Fuel System: In a fuel system contains gasoline which is stored in a fuel tank. This fuel   (Gasoline) supply to the carburetor by using pump.   A carburetor which mixes the gasoline with air and fuel lines connecting the area.  Fuel Pump: There are two types of fuel pump a.       Mechanical fuel pump and b.       Electric fuel pump

What are the main components of Automobile?

There have five basic parts for Automobile and they are given bellow: 1.      Engine: Engine which is known to all as a power plant. Engine is the source of power which makes the car wheels rotate and the car move where it supply power to lubricating, fuel, electric and cooling systems. 2.      Frame:   Frame support the engine, body and wheels. 3.      Power train: Power train transmit the power engine to the car wheels where its contain clutch, transmission, propeller shaft, axles and differential.  4.      Car Body 5.      Car body accessories: A car body accessory contains the heater, lights, radio, windshield wiper and convertible top raiser.

What are the requirements for Piston and Piston Ring?

1.       Piston and piston ring must be slide in the cylinder with a minimum of friction loss. 2.      Piston and piston ring must have enough to take the punishing pressures and temperatures of the combustion process. 3.      Piston and piston ring must be minimum weight so as to keep inertia losses down. 4.      Piston and piston ring must be a cross section sufficiently large to provide an adequate heat path so excessive piston head temperatures will not occur. 5.      They must be able to exercise adequate oil control. 6.      Piston and piston ring must be minimum clearance with the cylinder wall so as to minimize blow by. 7.      Piston and piston ring must change in size and shape very little as a result of temperature changes. 8.      Piston and piston ring resist adequately the bending forces imposed by combustic pressures. 9.      They must be highly wear and scuff resistant for long life.

Definition of Draft Tube, Efficiency of Draft Tube, specific speed and Unit Speed

Draft Tube: Reaction   turbine usually discharges through a draft tube, the function of which is to reconvert the kinetic energy to flow energy by gradual expansion of   X     sectional area.  Efficiency of Draft Tube: Efficiency of draft tube is defined as the ratio of regain of pressure head to the velocity head of outer surface of water. Specific Speed: Specific Speed is defined as the speed which geometrically similar (homogeneous series )turbines would run under unit head of water producing unit power.   i.                     All linear dimension are principle of similarity. ii.                  All angles are constant.  Unit Speed: Unit Speed defined as the speed of a turbine under unit head of water.
