What is Battery? What is the function of Battery?

What is Battery? Definition of Battery : It is a device consist of one or more electro-chemical cell and it is used to convert stored energy in chemical form to electrical energy . One battery contain two types of cell One is primary cell and another is secondary cell. What is the  function of Battery ? Function of Battery:  There are three function one battery and they are given bellow: 1.      Engine Off: Battery energy is used to operate lighting and after accessory system. 2.      Engine Starting: Battery energy is used to operate the starter motor and provide current for ignition system during cranking.  3.      Engine Running: Battery energy is used when automobile electrical load exceed the supply from the charging system. Electrical System: 1.      Battery 2.      Starting System 3.      Charging System 4.      Ignition System

What is automobile?

Automobile: It is the branch of vehicle engineering   incorporating element of mechanical, electrical, electronic , software as applied to design manufacture operation at automobile and their subsystem. Some of the best example of Automobile is bus, truck, ship, aero plane , rocket etc. How many part together make an Automobile ? About 15000 parts together makes an automobile and some one also tell about 30,000 parts makes an automobile.  Some Engine Parts Name is given bellow: 1.        Engine Power plant 2.        Power train 3.        steering System 4.        Banking System 5.        Suspension System 6.        Electrical System 7.        Body

Definition of Direct energy conversion

Direct energy conversion: Direct energy conversion is a process where different types of energy converted directly into electrical energy. Direct energy conversion device: Direct energy conversion device continuously   convert various from of thermal, chemical or nuclear energy into electrical work without the use of working substances that alternately absorb, stores and reject energy. Types of directly energy conversation system: There are five types of directly energy conversation system given bellow them: 1.        Magneto hydrodynamic   generator (MHD) 2.        Fuel cell 3.        Thermo-ionic generator. 4.        Thermo-electric generator. 5.        Photo-voltic cell.

Definition of Combined Power cycle,Co-generation system and effectiveness

What is Combined Power cycle? Combined Power cycle : A combined power cycle is one based on the coupling of two different power cycles such the waste heat from one cycle is used partially or totally as the heat source for the other cycle. What is co-generation system? Co-generation system:  The technique of sequential production of energy usually electrical energy and by utilizing exhaust energy as heat or thermal energy from a single energy source is called co-generation system.   Example of co-generation system: One of the best examples is a power plant for industry may provide steam for heating building as well as for electric power, sugar mill, paper mill, drying unit and room heating.  Definition of effectiveness:   The performance of co-generation plant is frequently measured in terms of its effectiveness ᵋ Which is defined as the ratio of (electrical energy delivered + thermal load ) and combustion heat absorbed

What is Friction?

Friction is defined as the resistance to motion between two objects in contact with each other. To prevent one object from sliding on another acts as friction . The automobile many parts are rotating and sliding with other parts. Some of the power developed by engine must be used up in overcoming this friction.  Demerits effects of Friction/Disadvantage of Friction: Friction is an effect which wasted power because it does not contribute to moving the car. On the other hand friction is very valuable in the car brakes. It also creates noise. Characteristics of Friction: Friction varies with the pressure applied between the sliding surfaces, the roughness of the surfaces and the material of which the surfaces are made. Mainly friction varies with the load, types of material and roughness of a surface. Coefficient of Friction: People need to know exact way to find frictional differences than to say that one surface has a high friction and another surface
