Protecting Coating Shop

Electroplating The coating that is given on a particular type of any metallic substance with the help of electricity by submerging it in a solution made of various chemicals is called electroplating.                                                                                           Figure:  Protective coatings , surface treatment In BITAC Protective Coating we find some element. There are – 1.       Rectifier, 12 volt, 1.5 KW 2.       Variable resistance 3.         Polishing & Buffing Motor, 1HP,3 Phase,1.8 A, 2780 RPM 4.       Polishing & Buffing Motor, 3HP,3 Phase,3 A, 2840 RPM 5.       Different size of polishing bobs 6.       Degreasing solution 7.       Acid copper solution 8.       Cyanide copper plating solution 9.       Nickel   plating solution 10. HEAT TREATMENT

Heat treatment is a term used in the industry to describe a process whereby the physical properties of a metal may be charged by subjecting it to heat. Here the job is cooling by air, water and oil. To hold the job various type of tools is used. Metals can be of two types: alloy steel/tool steel and mild steel.                                                                                                                                                 Figure:   Heat Treatment Department/ Heat Treatment 4&5 Furnace Alloy steel : Alloy steels are those which contain, in addition to carbon and iron, some alloying elements, such as chromium, vanadium, nickel, molybdenum or tungsten, which give them some particular characteristics not possessed by ordinary steel Mild steel Mild steel at first carburizing and then it is hardened in oil, water or air . Preparation for carburizing: 1)      Charcoal – 58% 2)      Barium carbonate – 15% 3)

MT ( HEAVY) SHOP, Vertical lathe machine, Center lathe machine, Horizontal boring machine, Jig boring machine, Mechanical planer

In BITAC heavy machine shop we find some machine. There are-    1.Vertical lathe machine     2. Center lathe machine     3.   Horizontal boring machine     4. Jig boring machine     5. Mechanical planer ( KANEKO PLANER )                                                          Figure: Vertical lathe machine 1 1)Vertical lathe machine: The vertical lathe is one of the most important machines in any workshop. It is called so as the axis of the lathe chuck is vertical. Here job move clockwise. It is possible to this machine that all the lathe operation except thread cutting. The vertical lathe is very heavy and it is operate very heavy job which is impossible to operate by the Center lathe machine. In a turret many cutting tools can be attached at a time. Boring operation also possible by this machine. Square or hexagonal job can not be machined.                                                               Figure: Vertical lathe machine2
