What is the difference between dynamo breaking and regenerative breaking?





In case of dynamo breaking, when power is off and motor acts as a generator that it is connected across generator if consumes mechanical energy and converts into electrical energy. This electrical energy is supplied to load and dissipated as heat.
            On the other hand in regenerative breaking, the electrical  energy instead of being dissipated by a load in form of heat, it is fed back to the supply line to be used by other devices.
