Definition and Characteristics of Aerofoil

What is Aerofil? An aerofoil is the shape of a wing or blade or a sail as near in cross section. An aerofoil shape body moved through fluid processes as an aerodynamics force. The components of the force perpendicular to the direction of the motion is called lift Force . The components of force is parallel to the direction of motion of fluid is called drag Force . Subsonic flight aerofoil have a characteristics shape with a rounded leading edge following by a sharp trailling edge often with symmetric chamber. Foils of similar function designed with water as the working fluids are called hydrofoils.   Aerofoil is a steam line body. It moves through a fluid produces a aerodynamic force so that a body whose surface coinsides with stream lines when placed in a flow is called an aerofoil or airfoil or a stream line body. The geometry of an aerofoil is described by   the characteristics named as a.       L...

Limitations of micromotions study and Advantage of memomotion study

Limitations of micromotions study: a.       It requires special motion picture equipment. b.       It requires considerable time for the analysis. c.        Applicable in work produced in large volume. d.       Large number of workers are needed. e.       It is not compatible for complex operation. f.         Profitable applicable only in short cycle operation. Memomotion Study: Memomotions study is the special forms of film video tape study that is of micromotion study in which pictures are taken at unusally hig speed.  Advantage of memomotion study: 1.       It will record interrelated events more accurately visual techniques. 2.       It reduces film cost to about 6% of the cost with normal film spee...

What is definition of micromotion study?

Micromotion study provides a technique for recording and timing an activity. It consists of talking motion picture of the operation with a clock in the picture or with motion picture camera operating at a constant and known speed. The film becomes a permanent record of both method and time and may be re-examined whenever desired. What are the most uses of micromotion study? The most important uses are  1.       To assist in finding the most efficient mehtod of doing work. 2.       To assist in training individuals to understand the meaning of motion study. How improve the micromotion study? We can improve the micromotion study by 1.       Filming the operations to be studied. 2.       Analyzing the film. 3.       Developing an improved method through the problem solving method.
