Solution:  Given data, t=0.062 inch, S=25 ton/in²

P=2+2+2+2=8”

So, cutting force, F= spt

                                      =25*8*0.062

                                     =12.4 tons (Ans)                                                                                             

Stripping force, f_s =850 pt

                                =850*8*0.062

                                =421.61 lb (Ans)
